In this Five Day Negotiation Strategy Challenge, our goal will be to create a system for you to utilize in asking for what you want and getting what you need.

Preparedness feeds confidence and success.  

DAY 1

GET CLEAR ON YOUR GOALS

If you don't know what you want, you won't get too far.

We'll start the planning process by identifying constructive ways to get clear on negotiation goals.

DAY 2

SET PRIORITIES

Once you have your goals in mind, you'll need to decide which are most important.  This exercise will help you think through what's best for you.

DAY 3

It's easy to get lost in thoughts of what might go wrong or where your priorities might get sidetracked.

Let's start from a place of strength instead.

DAY 4

walk a mile in their shoes

Practice getting out of your head.  What do other people see?  What are their priorities?  And what should this mean for your strategy?

DAY 5

wrap it up

Now you're clear on what you need, the advantages and challenges before you, and the perspectives of those around you..

If you're not used to negotiating, or not comfortable with it, this planning process will help you get clear on what you want and what you need (which may be two different things).
